Committee Comments on 1973 Adoption

Federal Rules 72 through 76 formerly covered the subject matter of appeals. These rules were abrogated by the United States Supreme Court on December 4, 1967, effective July 1, 1968.

The subject of appeals is now before the Supreme Court of Alabama Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules. Therefore, the Committee has not made any recommendations relevant thereto. However, consistent with the policy of this Committee throughout these Rules, Rules 72-76 remain omitted in order that the sequence of numbering will continue to correspond with related Federal Rules 77 through 86.
